Illustrious Detailing Car detailing Okay, so I've had a few people ask what I charge, & it's really hard to come up with different prices for different services. Cheers! Brae

So here's a package I've had a think about.
$300 for small to medium cars, $400 for larger vehicles. This will include-
Full wash & decontamination (claying) of paintwork & dry,
'All in one' cut & polish. This will remove most swirls marks & leave a very shiny surface that will also wax as well. Tires dressed & depending on condition, engine bay as well. Full interior vacuum & depending on conditi

on, some carpet stain removal. Interior scrub (not just a wipe over!)
Windows cleaned. Please allow at least 3-4 hours for this as I am very fussy! There are many other thing I can do like polishing windows to remove hard water spots, leather cleaning, upholstery washing, scratch removal, coating application etc. Just ask if there's anything special you want done. Just remember, above is a basic package covering the whole vehicle. Also I can be mobile if required! Please ask about this if it is something that would suit.

Here's a 'quick' detail I did last weekend. Spent Saturday doing all the interior plus engine bay. Sunday was wash & single stage polish. Sadly I didn't get any before shots, but trust me, it was quite bad. Apparently it had been sitting outside for about 3 months. There was even a panel at the back where for some reason the clear coat had faded only.there. Once polished I could see a very slight difference in colour, so I'm guessing it has been repaired at some stage. The before & after of the bonnet shows how bad the paint is, but the customer just wanted a tidy up, so I wasn't going to do any correction to the paint, just bring back the gloss. Customer was very happy with it.

Gee it's been a while since posting anything, didn't realize over a year!
Anyway, a couple of weekends ago I got stuck into tidying up the Nissan since I was trading it in. Just a 'quick' single stage polish & it came out nice & shiny. Engine bay, interior & boot was all done too.

Saw this poor Z3 sitting on the side of the road almost & one day stopped to take a pic. Thought to myself I'd love to get my hands on it & bring it back to glory.
Well, that was back in June last year. Not long after that it had gone.
Now I have it parked in my garage & my dream can come true! I must say for a poor neglected wee Z3 the M wheels on it are in mint condition! Sadly it does have some clear coat coming off in places.

Such a nice day to be working outside.

Our cousin from Hamilton came down over QB weekend with his new Mazda6 for a tidy up. Not a lot of photos as we just worked on the exterior. It got a thorough polishing, almost full restoration, followed by 3D ceramic coating. There were some nasty scratches here & there but reduced enough to not be noticeable unless pointed out 😆 As usual, very happy customer!

Keep forgetting to post up last job! I guess I should now the garage is full of this 😀

Finally got the Z4 finished on Saturday. In time for the Z club run on Sunday 😆 The wheels had been done about a month ago, still looking good though. She came up real nice for a 12 year old car. Still has a few RIDS here & there, but that's to be expected. I even gave the glass a bit of a polish to get rid of the water spots. So the process was started with 6" Surbuf pads with Megs M101 to knock the bigger scratches out. Followed by Megs MF cutting pad with D300 & polished up with Rupes white pads with Sonax Perfect Finish. Wiped down with silicon remover & finished off with Kamikaze Miyabi ceramic coating.

I haven't done this for a while. Looking forward to it!

Here are some outside shots of the Lexus IS250. This is it in the 'naked paint' stage, meaning it has no wax or sealant on it. Because I'm no photographer it was hard to capture just how much metal flake is in the paint. Even the owner was impressed at how much more the metallic shone through. Unfortunately the day it was finished & going home it was fairly overcast, so not really any chance of getting any good pictures. At the end of the day the owner was very happy & that's the main thing! ☺

Bloody Pages Manager, hit the post button & of course it lost everything I had just done 😠
So here we go again.
Got this Lexus IS250 a couple of weeks ago & the owner wasn't in a hurry to get it back, so I did as much as I could. The interior was already in very good condition, & sadly I forgot to take some after shots. The only major thing I did was scrub the leather seats & apply conditioner. I did give the boot a good going over though! The headlights & front badge were starting to fade also. There was a big area where a bird poo had eaten into the clear coat & the owner was worried that this might be not be able to be fixed. Luckily it wasn't that bad & was easily removed with the first stage polish. Other than those everything else was quite straight forward. I even gave the windows a polish to remove the water spots.

And here are the after pics. Can't really see it but the metallic really pops after the polish.
