As many of you know, our previous Quality Manager made the difficult decision to leave Hire A Housewife.
We are excited to introduce Amanda as our new Quality Manager.
Amanda brings with her extensive experience in customer service, team leadership, business operations, staff development, and maintaining high standards.
She has owned and managed a successful hospitality and tourism business for more than a decade, leading teams, creating exceptional customer experiences, and building a strong culture of service and accountability.

What stood out to us most was Amanda's passion for people, her commitment to quality and her belief that standards should not only be met but exceeded.

Before stepping into her new role Amanda has spent the last three weeks working alongside our team across a variety of services including

• Regular residential cleaning
• One-off cleans
• End-of-tenancy cleans
• Builders' cleans
• Estate Cleaning

This hands on approach has allowed Amanda to learn our systems from the ground up, gain a real understanding of our clients expectations and build relationships with our amazing team members.

As Quality Manager Amanda's role will include supporting our team, carrying out quality checks, helping maintain our service standards, and ensuring we continue delivering the level of service our clients have come to expect from Hire A Housewife.

Let’s talk sticker residue
Every builder knows the struggle 😅

New windows, appliances, mirrors and joinery arrive covered in stickers and protective films and if they’re not removed properlythey can leave behind glue marks, smears and a messy finish right before handover.

The worst part?
You often don’t notice it until the sun hits the glass 😥 A proper builders clean is about slowing down and checking the DETAILS.

Sticker residue, paint specks, dusty tracks, fingerprints on black fittings it all matters when a client walks through their brand new home for the first time.

Because handover day should feel exciting not frustrating

Sunday Night Reflections

Sitting at the airport this week, I became really aware of how overstimulated life can feel. Airports for me are one of the worst places for it so much noise. So many conversations. So much rushing.
It’s hard to switch off and find calm in the chaos. As I was sitting there I realised life and business can feel exactly the same.

Work. Kids. Family commitments. Messages. Staff. Friends. Responsibilities.
The mental load just keeps going right?

As I’ve gotten older, I’ve realised how important it is to intentionally find moments of calm wherever I can because our bodies were never designed to live in constant chaos forever without eventually paying the price. So at the airport I tried something simple.
Headphones on. Calming music playing.
And honestly WOW 🤩 . It felt like I stepped into another world.
The chaos was still happening around me, but I wasn’t carrying it anymore. I was in my own little zone of peace.

I think sometimes we put so much pressure on ourselves to do everything, be everything and carry everything.
But maybe strength isn’t always about carrying more. Maybe sometimes it’s about learning where to take the pressure off.

Delegating. Saying no. Asking for help. Booking the CLEANER. Taking the walk. Turning the phone off for an hour. Protecting your peace.

This is your reminder tonight to find your calm. Even if it’s only for 10 minutes.
Your nervous system and your mind and your body need it more than you realise. 🤍

And if taking one thing off your plate this week helps you breathe a little easier… maybe this is your sign to book the cleaner too.

Skills matter. But team culture matters just as much if not more!

Hiring people we know genuinely work well together like Suz and Steph makes such a difference, not only for our team environment but for our clients too.

Good energy spreads. So does positivity, support and teamwork 💗

When people enjoy working together you feel it. The jobs run smoother and the laughs come easier and the whole culture becomes stronger.
