I referred this job to Drain Rescue to do, as at the time I was unable to take on the extra workload, Shane and his team did well here, the customer was happy.. I went to repair his watermain at a later date, the water main was feeding from a neighboring property unrelated to Shane's good work here..

We were called to check out an existing fire installation by a Chimney sweep company, they had issues accessing the flue to clean it and realized something wasn't quite right, upon further investigation we found that the installation was done very poorly and they didn't connect the fire flue properly, when we were removing the flue to replace it with a new flue setup we found the flue had separated half way up inside a two story house, there were no rivets, fixings or cement joining some of the flue lengths.. it was a scary find..

Recently we were called to a blocked drain, it was full of tree roots, so the best course of action was to replace a section of the drain, when we came back to site the client/home owner had pre-dug and exposed the old earthenware drain, he made a superb job of exposing it, which made it really easy and straight forward for us to replace the section of drain, gully trap and connection to the existing pipework at the house.

What we started with to what we finished with.. The old S trap toilet was blocked under the concrete floor it was the old earthenware pipe, we suspected the old pipe may have been broken somewhere under there. the solution we came up with was to replace the toilet setup completely and put in a new turn trunk pan (a toilet pan where it discharges to the side rather than a typical P trap type).
in doing that we were able to allow some extra space between the cistern and the new pan which will make it more user friendly. we were able to get a core drilled hole through the side wall to allow for the rerouting of the drain pipe to suit. (two of the pictures may be incorrectly orientated)

A coiled 'we***ck' replacement we did recently, the old one had been in service for 16 or so years, the fire was used almost every day, the part of the copper coil nearest the fire bricks had thinned and split.. It ended up being a straightforward change over. The leak also caused the fire bricks to split so we replaced them too..
