Look at these common/german wasps this morning protein feeding a few weeks earlier than usual in Bannockburn. This is Vespex bait in a bait station, the wasps come and eat the bait, tell their friends and then return to their nest carrying the insecticide and it kills the nest. Is great on properties when you cant locate the nest.
Unfortunately not effective on those pesky paper wasps however.

Took the dog to work with me today (because I can) and the monster has rolled in something dead on our wee walk, I now have a 🤢 smell for the rest of the day in my ute and she needs a bath. Nice one Rata.

Called to a property just now where a builder had disturbed a wasp nest. They had made their nest in a bit of old rolled carpet, was a biggie and very active, thankfully the builder didn't get stung.

View from a very clean window. Have added window cleaning services (single storey exterior to start with) as I am regularly asked if we offer window cleaning after exterior insecticide treatments. So now we do 😊

I think I need some better work stories on a Monday morning. Found this in a roof today, I had taken a trap as there had been reports of a large noise but it had already eaten the rodent bait...client will need to get a roofer in as I can't see any access points at all.

It's a red back spider kind of week this week. Lots of spraying of them and their wee egg sacs. We seem to be treating more and more each year.

Had a call this morning from a client with a rat in her kitchen, had eaten from her fruit bowl, shat on her kitchen bench and was asleep behind the microwave. We put out a trap and was caught within a couple of hours 😉 Very relieved customer 😊

Wasps, wasps, wasps. Been a long busy wasp season. Been treating paper wasps since October 22 and the first german wasps nests we treated were on 1st January which is 2 weeks earlier than last year.
This is a Vespex bait station, protein wasp bait for use for about 6 weeks of the year when german wasps are protein feeding. The wasps take the bait containing the insecticide Fipronil back to the nest and it kills the nest. Great technology. Safe for beed. Has been a great success this year.

Paper wasp season started with 4 nests treated in the last week. They are looking for new nest sites on warm, still sunny days.
