⚠️ Madagascar Ragwort/Firew**d is a HUGE pest.

This noxious w**d has been slowly taking over farms in the far north for several decades. It's hard to kill, and traditional herbicides such as brushkiller will kill it, but not before it goes straight into flower, producing tens of thousands of wind-blown seeds.

Earlier this year MPI became aware of a herbicide mix that can destroy this w**d without triggering the seeding phase. We used this herbicide mix to effectively control it on Zivcovich farm - a former dairy & beef farm right next to the Kerikeri river.

We'll be chatting with Farm Manager, Anthony in the next few weeks to write up a case study on how this work went. Stay tuned!
