Think you can throw in any pool salt and it will happily break down into free chlorine to keep your pool clean? Well think again!

We know that with the current pool salt shortage, a lot of people are desperate for any pool salt that they can get their hands on, but buying poor quality pool salt could cause nasty stains to your pool that are very difficult to clean😫:

❌Cheap pool salt with small metal fragments can cause very small rust spots to appear. Prolonged use of salt with a light brown appearance can further lead to general discolouration on the pool surface over time.
❌Iron particles, which depending on the severity gives green through yellow to brown stains or Manganese which gives dark brown to black stains.
❌Cheap salts may say its 99% pure but the 1% impurity can cause staining

Sadly we have said goodbye to Andrew. He has taken up a job offer from Narellan Pools Waikato, installing new swimming pools.
