Some materials arrive on site brand new. Others arrive with a lifetime behind them.

VidaGroove Reclaimed is one of the latter.

Sourced from agricultural barns in the Great Lakes region of North America and reclaimed Spruce from Eastern Europe, every board carries the visible marks of its past - weathered grain, tonal variation, nail holes, and the occasional embedded bullet found by installers.

We call it third generation wood. First life in the forest. Second in the barn. Third in the spaces it becomes part of here in New Zealand.

VidaGroove Reclaimed brings something few materials can: authentic character shaped by time.

Design Spotlight: Project Waltling by

An extensive renovation with considered architecture at the forefront by Stephen Jones Architects. Full-height cabinetry brings a sense of scale to the space, while dark oak veneer joinery and striking Montalini quartzite add warmth and character. Cathedral glass panels introduce texture throughout, catching light in a way that shifts the mood of the room across the day. A pop of bold colour in the scullery grounds the space. The result is an interior that feels both architecturally bold and liveable, a testament to the power of thoughtful material selection.

Material used 〰️ Querkus Allegro Brushed veneer

Design Spotlight: Totara Renovation by

"This project was to renovate and extend a 1930's brick bungalow to create more space for a growing family.

The extension is located on a small flat area to the south of the existing house, with the ceiling pitched up to a high north facing window, ensuring this new kitchen and dining space is sunny and light filled. This bright open plan space contrasts to the more contained and moody interiors of the existing house.

The complexity of changing the brick internal walls in the existing house meant that layout changes were minimised, with small alterations making possible an additional bedroom and a new ensuite.

Consistent materials and colours link the existing and new parts of the house - with a new brick for the extension complementing the old, timber cabinetry and joinery, and strong colours throughout."

- Patchwork Architecture

Querkus Adagio veneer has been used throughout this renovation.

Design Spotlight: P**i Road by .kathrine

"Although a new build, this property has huge emotional resonance. For many years the site of the family bach, the permanent relocation of the owners called for a forever home. The clients were happy to leave the interior design direction to KMD with the one criterion of “I just don’t want gum boots at the front door!” With this amount of creative freedom we worked with the spectacular architectural design from Jon McAlpine to bring together a beautiful cohesive interior.

The lines are modern, and a lightness throughout references the coastal location. VidaSpace timber flooring has been used along with pure wool carpet; texture is important as is flow – a beautiful natural stone with hues of sea green has been used in the living space, and for a custom-made console in the foyer. Free reign to assist with furniture ensured a wonderful sense of continuity throughout the home."

- Kathrine McDonald

VidaPlank Pumice timber flooring has been used throughout this stunning new build.

RAAD x VidaSpace: Halcyon & Forêt Candle

A limited edition piece designed to sit quietly within a space, both architectural in form and immersive in experience.

Exclusive to VidaSpace, the candle is housed in black gloss stainless steel, carrying both brand marks in subtle alignment. The scent draws from a wild forest setting, where filtered light meets cedar, moss and earth. Layers of balsamic and sage open into leather and patchouli, settling into sandalwood, amber and soft vanilla.

A slow burn, designed to unfold over time.
