Pohutukawa Flower Season - Are your Rainwater Systems summer ready?
It’s that time of year again, the Pohutukawa’s will be flowering soon
Question: Are your Rainwater Systems summer ready?
Gutters & Roof – Clear from debris and organic material, as they can block water flow and promote algae growth, reducing the flow of fresh water to your tank. (First and foremost)
Downpipes & Spouting – Correctly connected? No visible damage, cracks, or leaks? Not blocked? As this could prevent water from flowing freely.
Tanks – Inspect your tanks for sediment build-up and ensure it is within a manageable level. Check that the water is clear and odorless; any foul smells could indicate contamination. Look for signs of leaks in and around your tanks.
Filters – filter units require regular servicing to ensure they are not blocked or clogged, this could reduce water pressure, promote discoloration in watercolor and give a bad taste.
UV System: Check if the UV bulb requires replacement, this is essential for maintaining clean and safe water. (Stopping the “Nasties”)
The Spring season has started with the bulk of my jobs requiring the tank to be completely emptied, cleaned out, sterilized and fresh water delivered.
If you feel this could be your property, it may be worth considering preventive maintenance moving forward. This could help keep your system in ideal working condition and potentially avoid costly cleanouts in the near future.
(CHANGING YOUR FILTERS DOES NOT RECTIFY THE PROBLEMS, IT ONLY MASKS THEM FOR A SHORT PERIOD)
Please call or email me to have a chat about your property and schedule you in for a full FREE Rainwater Systems inspection with recommendations. Bookings will be essential as during the busier periods of the season I may be fully booked out unless already on a maintenance schedule.
Bring on the Summer!!!
