One of the most common mistakes we see is firewood stacked directly against the exterior walls of a house. To a rat or mouse, a woodpile is the ultimate luxury apartment block—it’s dry, sheltered, and right next door to your warm house. Even worse, it gives them a perfect "ladder" to reach higher entry points like eaves and roof voids.

Quick Autumn Tip:
✅ Stack your wood away from the house (at least a metre if possible).
✅ Elevate the pile off the ground on pallets or racks.
