We brought Leo a drone for his birthday, so just had to get some cool photo's of Penning House now that it is all finished.
After 10 years of planning and building, I think it was worth it.

Penning house is the original Farm house in Castor bay/Milford and was originally built in 1902. it was a milk farm that extended all the way to Milford beach. The first owners/builders were the Pennings, thus Penning road that was built some time after in the early part of the century.

Today saw the completion of my laundry door we use the old sarking boards from the inside walls that I've had stored for a couple of years along the side of the house. New barn door hardware for a company in Tauranga, handle compliments of magic stuff in Glen's garage and some spray paint and I think it looks pretty mint. Thanks Dad for seeing my vision through.

So today we installed the handrail to the ground floor. It's the old external stairs handrails mitred together and some beautiful simple brackets that I bought off Trade Me and was sent to us from the South Island.

A friend told me about a house being demolished tomorrow so off I went today to see what I could utilise. Got some window hardware that matches our others and with a little tlc I have transformed them.
