What’s Known About Chlorine's Impact on Coronavirus.

Ireland’s Health Service Executive confirms that Coronavirus cannot be transmitted in drinking water and swimming pools, provided these mediums are properly chlorinated

Below is an interview with Professor Michael Baker (Professor of Public Health at the University of Otago) on National Radio (RNZ) regarding the use of swimming pools.

The specific information starts at 9mins 25 seconds.

The question being asked at present:
Can the COVID-19 virus spread through pools and hot tubs?

There is no evidence that COVID-19 can be spread to humans through the use of pools and hot tubs. Proper operation, maintenance, and disinfection (e.g.with chlorine) of pools and hot tubs should remove or inactivate the virus that causes COVID-19.

Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a virus (more specifically, a coronavirus) identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, China.

Need help getting your car out of your pool we can help 😂😂😂

AN UNBELIEVER-POOL INCIDENT:

It was a cold and soggy evening last night for two people who crashed a car through a fence and into a swimming pool in Pukekohe.

Turns out cars don't float and after fully submerging the car they fled and were tracked by a pool-ice dog who quickly located them cold and wet but otherwise unharmed. Unfortunately (for them) one had a warrant to arrest and both had numerous warrants to interview.

Maintaining the proper balance of chemicals in your pool is a continuous process. Any new material that enters your pool (such as debris, gardenia, oil, lotion, etc.), will influence the water’s chemistry.

In addition to pH, it is important to monitor total alkalinity, calcium hardness and total dissolved solids.

Pool health is also your health, your time and your money.

With the proper professional products and weekly testing, maintaining balanced water chemistry will become an efficient, simple process
