Digger detailing, How it started and how it’s going -
In 2022 I came up with a crazy idea, Digger Detailing! I was working in civil and earthworks at the time. The boss mentioned we needed to clean the 20t digger. Non of us had the time and nobody wanted do it, or come in on our day off to clean the digger. This was the lightbulb moment. I had a few weeks on the couch with an ankle injury, so I took this time to do some research and crunch some numbers. I set myself up with a truck and decided to have a go. I thought what’s the worst that could happen right? I sell up and go back to working for someone else?? It’s now 2026 and I’ve been operating for a few years now and cleaned a s**t load of machines. So this is a bit of an appreciation post for my loyal customers that have given me a chance and given me work over the years. Working for yourself is not easy. I’m basically on call 24/7 and the brain does not shut off. If I’m not cleaning machines, I’m thinking about cleaning machines. Trying to figure out how to improve, perfect, and be more efficient in all aspects of Digger Detailing. Just a reminder, Digger Detailing is currently taking a break, as I am currently in Antarctica working a short contract. I will be home around Xmas. Digger Detailing will be up and running again at the start of January 2026. Until then I have a few aircraft to deal with here on ice!

⭐️ What a year it’s been for Digger Detailing!! ⭐️
To say thanks to everyone for another year in business, I have 6 cleaning packs to giveaway. (Packs include Interior cleaner, window cleaner, microfibers and hanging air fresheners. These packs are perfect for the cab of your machine)

I’ve been a bit quiet on the socials this year. Some people have asked, “am I still operating?” Well the answer is yes. I’ve been very busy cleaning diggers and other machinery as well as working on the next stage of Digger Detailing. I’ve put a lot of pressure on myself to succeed and keeping up with the socials has been mentally tough, so naturally was the first thing to drop off. I am currently booked up at least 2 weeks in advance, but always have postponements due to weather or civil projects, so spaces do become available last minute. If you are thinking or looking to book your machine in for a spruce up, then get in touch and we can make a plan. Thanks to all my regular clients for this year thus far. Crazy that it’s already August! I will be heading back to Antarctica again in October, so get in while you can!
