During HACCP audits, questions about workwear catch many food companies off guard.

Not because procedures don't exist.

But because those procedures live on paper — not in practice.

Auditors increasingly ask for:
→ Demonstrable rotation of workwear
→ Registration of dispensing and collection
→ Separation of clean and soiled items in changing areas
→ Availability and tracking of PPE

In many food companies, this is hard to reconstruct. Administration lags behind reality, employees take clothing outside the system, and clean and soiled items get mixed during shift changes.

Bij HACCP-audits vallen de vragen over werkkleding veel organisaties rauw op het dak.

Niet omdat er geen procedures zijn.

Maar omdat die procedures op papier staan en niet in de praktijk werken.

Auditors vragen steeds vaker naar:
→ Aantoonbare roulatie van werkkleding
→ Registratie van uitgifte en inname
→ Scheiding tussen schoon en vuil in de omkleedruimte
→ Beschikbaarheid en registratie van PBM's

In veel voedingsbedrijven is dat lastig te reconstrueren. De administratie loopt achter, medewerkers pakken kleding buiten het systeem om, en bij shiftwisseling raken schoon en vuil gemengd.

Een rondje fitness.
Zo voelt de kledinguitgifte voor sommige facilitaire medewerkers.

"Can we deliver the clothing pre-sorted?"

A question we get more and more often from laundries and customers running a garment dispensing system.

The reasoning makes sense: pre-sorted feels like more control, and seems like a backup in case the system ever goes down.

Yet in almost every case, we advise the opposite: chaotic loading, combined with smart minimum and maximum stock settings per item.

Why does that work better?
- The system calculates itself what goes where
- Less rejection than with pre-sorted loading
- No extra sorting step in the laundry
- Shorter lead times, faster dispensing
And the concern about downtime?

The CHIPTEX-Liner achieves an uptime of at least 99.75%. That works out to a maximum of 22 hours out of operation per year.

"Kan de kleding gesorteerd aangeleverd worden?"

Deze vraag krijgen we steeds vaker van wasserijen en klanten met een kledinguitgiftesysteem.

De gedachte erachter is logisch: gesorteerd aanleveren voelt als meer controle, en lijkt een back-up voor als het systeem ooit stilstaat.

Toch adviseren we in vrijwel alle gevallen het tegendeel: chaotische belading, met slimme instellingen voor minimale en maximale voorraad per artikel.

Waarom werkt dat beter?
- Het systeem rekent zelf uit wat waar moet hangen
- Minder afworp dan bij voorgesorteerd beladen
- Geen extra sorteerslag in de wasserij
- Kortere doorlooptijden, snellere uitgifte
En de zorg over stilstand?

Hygienic workwear doesn't start at the laundry.
It starts with what happens after.

We noticed many organisations invest heavily in the washing process itself. Rightly so, clean clothing is the foundation.

But between washing and wearing, there's a step that's often overlooked: storage, dispensing and rotation.

Clothing stored openly in a hallway cabinet.
Items that haven't rotated in months.
No visibility on who changes when.

These are exactly the moments where hygiene is at risk.

Hygiënische bedrijfskleding begint niet bij de wasserij.

Het begint bij wat er daarna gebeurt.

We merken dat veel organisaties enorm investeren in het wasproces zelf. Terecht, schone kleding is de basis.

Maar tussen het wassen en het dragen zit een stuk dat vaak onderbelicht is: opslag, uitgifte en roulatie.

Kleding die open ligt in een gangkast.
Artikelen die maanden niet rouleren.
Geen zicht op wie wanneer wisselt.
