Another MTECK dragline leaves the factory in The Netherlands!!

Transport has started for the third MTECK825E dragline for our highly valued customer North American Mining. This second-generation 825E by MTECK will be deployed on the Everglades restoration project in Florida.

The previous 825E was delivered and commissioned in April and has been operating successfully ever since, running between 18 and 20 hours per day, seven days a week.

In June, the new MTECK825E will be assembled and prepared for operation on site.

Proud to share that MTECK The Dutch Crane Manufacturer has the honor of supplying a new duty cycle clamshell crane for Damen Shipyards Gorinchem.
The crane will be one of the 300 series: a 316E full-electric heavy-duty dredging crane, featuring an operational grab load (including content) of 16 metric tons and a lifting capacity of 30 metric tons.

UK Dredging has signed a contract with Damen for the construction of this new trailing suction grab hopper dredger, which will be equipped with the MTECK 316E.

Based on Damen’s TSHD 1000 design, the vessel has been customised to meet operational requirements. It will support essential maintenance dredging across UK ports, helping to maintain safe navigational depths and reliable vessel access.

This DAMEN TSHD 1000 will feature diesel-electric propulsion with energy storage and ULEV-compliant exhaust aftertreatment. This aligns perfectly with MTECK Cranes from Stellendam, leveraging the company’s extensive experience with electric cranes. The advanced MTECK crane software is designed to ensure very low energy consumption combined with high energy recovery.

Construction will take place at Damen’s Ha Long Shipyard, with the vessel expected to enter service in 2028.

Three weeks ago, MTECK commissioned the second 825E 8-yard dragline into production. Now, only three weeks later, we are preparing to ship the third 825E 8-yard dragline to Florida, USA, where it will support the Everglades Restoration Project for our valued customer, North American Mining
These latest two 825E draglines represent the second generation of the 825E series, engineered for continuous heavy-duty operation, running 7 days a week between 18 and 22 hours per day.

MTECK installed for our greatly appreciated customer North American Mining the second generation MTECK825E a fully electric dragline.
Equipped with an 8,5 cubic yard bucket and 46 meter boom, built for maximum efficiency and sustainability.
First genearation MTECK825E has for travelling a hydraulic power unit, this second generation MTECK825E is equipped with electric motors for travelling which is even more efficiënt, very low on maintenance and removes the risk of oil contamination which is contributing to a cleaner working environment.
The entire dragline was assembled and commisioned within two weeks.
