N+P Group B.V. N+P is a pioneer in the development of concepts to utilize non-recyclable waste streams as alternativ

Founded in 1992, the N+P Group has specialised in the production and supply of waste derived alternative materials for various industries. Thanks to N+P's extensive knowledge and experience, many industries are benefiting from the materials N+P produces and or supplies. N+P is one of the most innovative and pioneering companies in the field of waste derived alternative fuel production and supply,

and is leading the way to new concepts to substitute fossil fuels with non-recyclable paper and plastic waste fractions. In this way, our clients are able to massively save on their production costs and CO2 emissions. Since its founding N+P has also worked on supplying alternative raw materials, substituting primary materials and contributing to cheaper and cleaner production processes.

It often starts with something small…
A birthday card. A toy. Things we don’t usually think about, let alone realise they may contain a battery. And so do vapes.

When these items end up in the general waste stream, they can be damaged, crushed… and ignite. Like others in our industry, we are seeing a growing trend. With the rise of lithium-ion batteries in everyday products, the risk of fires is increasing.

At N+P Group B.V. we deal with this reality every day. Despite strict safety procedures, advanced fire prevention systems, and highly trained colleagues who know exactly how to respond, we alone cannot prevent these incidents from happening.

This message isn’t about blame. It’s about awareness. Next time you throw something away, take a second to consider: could it contain a battery? If so, dispose of it separately.

That one small action not only helps prevent fires to keep people safe, but also ensures that waste can continue to be processed in a safe and responsible way.

Safety starts with everyone…

🎉 5 Years of N+P Group B.V. Subcoal® Production Teesside 🎉

Five years marks a milestone defined by teamwork, innovation, and continuous improvement across every part of our operation.

Since the start of the TSP Production process on April 15th 2021, the site has developed into a core pillar of our business, strengthened by ongoing investment, optimisation, and a shared commitment to excellence. A major achievement in this journey has been taking the facility to processing 33 tonnes throughput capacity per hour at 15th of April 2026. A step change made possible through operational discipline, technical development, feedstock security, and the dedication of our people. This progress is reflected in our latest results, with FY25 standing as our strongest year to date.

Safety has remained at the heart of this progress. Our continued focus on strengthening our safety culture - supported by proactive behaviours, system developments, and consistent leadership - has been essential to sustaining growth while protecting our people and our site.

Looking ahead, new improvement programmes and planned investments beginning in Q4 2026 will further enhance capability, efficiency, and long-term value creation.

This anniversary is not just a celebration of what we’ve achieved, but a foundation for what comes next.

This milestone reflects our commitment to innovation, sustainability, and creating new perspectives for waste. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the journey so far, here’s to the next chapter of progress and possibility.

N+P Group B.V. has received approval to extend the operational permit for its Crayford MRF, increasing capacity from 350 to 420 kilotonnes of mixed household recycling per year. This expansion follows N+P’s recent €30.6 million investment aimed at driving sustainable growth and innovation.

The Crayford MRF is a key part of the region’s waste management system, and its strong operational performance has proven it can safely handle additional volumes. With global waste levels rising due to population growth, consumption patterns, and e‑commerce, local authorities face increasing pressure to manage recycling effectively and keep materials out of landfill and incineration.

By working closely with these authorities, N+P identified opportunities to boost regional processing capacity while continuing to improve output quality and recovery rates. The expanded permit supports long‑term continuity in waste processing and reinforces N+P’s mission to turn waste into valuable resources through innovative, sustainable solutions.

Recycling innovation, aimed at preserving resources and driving circularity, is happening at every level: from new initiatives like Droppie, to large‑scale sorting at N+P Group B.V., all the way to organisations like Verpact that ensure waste and packaging are smartly collected, sorted, and recycled.

It’s encouraging to see the growing awareness around waste, and how different organisations are coming together to make a real impact.

The latest BinnensteBuiten episode, filmed at our sorting plant in Rotterdam (NL), once again shows that waste isn’t something dirty; it’s a fascinating, valuable and an essential part of circularity.

Together, we close the loop.
