wishing to practise drifting, Modiho organises drifting days at a great location in Germany. The ATP proving grounds at Papenburg is a replica, albeit smaller, of the Hockenheim circuit. From the Ameisen curve to the famous Sachs curve, all bends are present. Furthermore the inside corner to camber radius exactly equals that of the original track. Aimed at the more experienced drifter it is definitely the place to be for a guaranteed fun day! However, there are also possibilities for the less experienced drifter. Some of the lower speed corners provide conditions suitable for drifting and enable you to find the cars limit and off course improve your skills in the art of beautiful driving! The Modiho drift days were born out of a desire for drifting by Mr. Dirk Hoekendijk. You will share the day with a devoted group of people who enjoy sharing hints and tips with other enthusiasts. To reduce excessive tire wear the track will be kept wet by ATP employees. It is possible to refuel on the ATP proving ground itself. The lunch is held in the ATP restaurant and at the end of the day the automatic car wash can be used. Papenburg is an official proving ground and as a result there can often be other teams testing at the same time. Therefore discipline is paramount: e.g. if somebody tosses gravel on the track that person needs to clean it up immediately. Violating any of the track rules will result in that person/group being evicted by ATP staff immediately. Drift Day Timetable:
9.00 am: Registration – at entrance.
10.00 am till 4.00 pm Drifting open pittlane
12.00 am till 1.00 pm Lunch
Note: At 3.00 pm the water trailer will leave. The costs are €399,00 per car. Per co-driver/passenger is a contribution of 35 euros requested. A lunch can be included for €22,50 per person. When you subscribe yourself for a day we ask you kindly to inform us if a co-driver will join and if you want to have lunch included for them also. There is a minimum age restriction of 16 years.
