One night outside. 115 people. More than €108,000 raised for Sheltersuit.

Last night, 115 people from the Zuidas business community slept outside to reflect on the reality of people who sleep outside every night. Together with Sheltersuit Foundation, we raised more than €108,000, and still counting, well above our target of €75,000.

“It shows what we can achieve when commitment turns into action,” says Femke Weller, General Manager of WTC Amsterdam.

Thank you to everyone who slept outside, donated and helped make this night possible. Donations stay open via the link in our bio.

Our new Central Lobby has won the Biophilic Design Awards 2026! 🌿

We’re proud to announce that WTC Amsterdam’s Central Lobby has been awarded in the Interior Design category.

The jury praised the lobby as a “flexible and impressive space, thoughtfully designed with people at its heart. With a rich mix of colours, materials, plants and textures, the space creates room for both individual focus and spontaneous encounters.”

This award is a recognition of the transformation we’re going through with WTC Amsterdam. Step by step, we’re reimagining our building as a more welcoming, sustainable, future-proof and accessible place, connected to the Zuidas and the wider city of Amsterdam.

A place where people feel welcome, ideas come together and new connections are made. A big thank you to all the partners who helped bring this vision to life.

33,000 people in the Netherlands are homeless. World Homeless Day was last Saturday, but the nights outside did not stop with it.

Last year, 50 people slept outside on Zuidplein and raised enough for 113 Sheltersuits. This year, we are going for 100 participants and €75,000.

On 29 October, WTC Live ends with the Zuidas Sleep Out: dinner in the Auditorium, a night on Zuidplein and breakfast the next morning. Join on your own or with your team, and gather sponsors in your network.

As part of WTC Live: Dealing with Change, we’re opening our doors for a Breakfast Session on Thursday 29 October. Join us for good coffee, fresh croissants and thought-provoking ideas, in a room full of leaders who are curious about what comes next.

Meet the voices of the morning: Caroline de Gruyter, Andreas Ekström and Dr. Marcia Goddard on how we lead through change, with Joris Luyendijk as moderator and a harp performance by Indra Diallo.

42 investors. 42 start-ups. One elevator.

Yesterday, our new Central Lobby became a matchmaking floor for the first edition of the Pitch Elevator, together with Golden Egg Check and StartupAmsterdam. Founders moved from investor to investor, meeting firms such as Invest-NL, Curiosity VC, Rockstart, No Such Ventures, LUMO Labs and Volve Capital.

“Start-ups in the Netherlands tend to think small. Conversations like these help founders to think bigger,” says Liz Duijves of Invest-NL, who will see Solaq again for a demo.

That is what we want WTC Amsterdam to be about: a place where the people building tomorrow can meet, connect and grow.

Thank you to everyone who made the first edition happen.

Last year, 50 people slept outside on Zuidplein and raised enough for 113 Sheltersuits.

This year, we are going for 100.

On the night of 29 to 30 October, WTC Amsterdam and Sheltersuit Foundation are calling on professionals, teams and companies to sleep outside on Zuidplein. One night. A real difference for the 33,000 people in the Netherlands without a safe place to sleep.

The Central Lobby of WTC Amsterdam is officially open.

People are the building blocks. That was the idea behind the design, and it showed Tuesday night.

Femke Weller, Mirjam Zuurbier of TANK, Declan Stone of The Stone Twins, Rogier Sterk and Jurre van Driel took the stage. Cooloo, VanTot, ByBorre and Stone Projects brought the space to life.

Then the brass band came in. The countdown happened. And the lobby was filled with exactly the people it was designed for.

More to come.
