Hot water is a good laundry tool only when used for the right fabrics

Read that line again...not for all fabrics please

Hot water is great for towels, bedsheets, and very dirty clothes because it kills germs and removes heavy dirt.

Cold water is better for colored clothes, jeans, and Ankara so they don’t fade or shrink.

Simple rule:

If it can fade or shrink, use cold water.

If it needs deep cleaning, use warm/hot water.

Let me guess...the leavening agent; the riser of every baked food.

Well, newsflash again guys, Baking soda made it to the wash.

I know right...

Baking soda boosts detergent power

Yes, it makes whites brighter, colors fresher, and helps remove tough dirt.

Even great when detergent feels “weak” or clothes still smell after washing.

All you need is just two tablespoons, to the wash and get ready for wonders

It's funny how simple things we ignore can wreck the quality of our fabrics.

Trust me when I say this didn't look like a thing until I tried it.

What it does is, it prevents fabrics from pulling threads or yarn ( it's where the spoilage usually starts.

As a natural color fixative, it acts by strengthening the bond between the fabric color and material, hence maximally reducing the chances of color bleeding.

Now here's how you can maximize this, to keep your fabric quality intact👇

▫️For new clothes (especially dark or bright ones), add ½ cup of salt. It helps lock in color and reduces bleeding.

▫️ For your jeans, Ankara, and T-shirts, it works great too.

Extra tip: Always turn colored clothes inside out before washing...less fading, longer life.
