Mr Philips & his designer shirts!
Mr. Philips, 37, is a Bank Executive married with a daughter, Winnie, 3 years old. His wife, Esther, 31, is an Accountant in a multinational company. They love their job and are good at what they do so much that they have attained enviable levels in their respective careers. The couple live in a highbrow area of Lagos, Victoria Garden City (VGC) precisely.
Mrs. Esther has been having challenges joggling between the stress of having to drop off her daughter at the creche before heading to work, then rushing back from work to pick her up again and catering to her at home after a long day.
While she tries to deal with all that, her husband, Mr. Philips who likes his designer shirts hand washed and ironed had given up on his laundry guys since they made it a point of duty to return his shirts with one stain or the other or not meet up with collection dates.
So in the heat of all of this, Mr. Philips finally resolves to heed his wife's plea to get a nanny & a house help.
His friend hooks him up with a company that specialises in hiring home services personnel, KLEENCARE HOME Services. And they provide him with a nanny, Erem, 52 & a house help, Mmeri, 17.
And 3 months after Erem & Mmeri have worked for Mr. Philips, Mr. Philips & wife feeds the company back at KLEENCARE HOME Services to say that since they employed the services of Erem & Mmeri, things have become much easier & rosy around the house.
Erem gets up very early in the morning to prep their daughter's school stuff (food, snacks box, clothes, etc) also makes sure she gets her food ready before she's dropped off at home by the school bus at closing, makes sure she eats well & when due. A happy Mrs Esther says that her daughter now rarely cries unnecessarily, always cheerful & happy.
Mr. Philips also had a lot to say about Mmeri. How that Mmeri is God - sent as far as his getting his laundry & his family's satisfactorily done is concerned. He explained the way she washes his designer shirts sparkling clean, how she separates the whites form the coloured and washes them separately, using soap for the coloured and powdered detergent & bleach for the whites. How she washes each shirt sleeve by sleeve, collar, front and back, rinses them at least twice before spreading the colored shirts under the shade while the whites under the sun.
