🚗 Know Your Car – Important Parts Under the Bonnet 🛠️
Every driver should know these basic components for better car care and confidence on the road!
1️⃣ Engine ⚙️
What it is: The heart of your car, turning fuel + air into power via tiny controlled explosions 🔥.
Main parts inside: Cylinder block, pistons, crankshaft, camshaft, valves, spark plugs, fuel injectors, intake & exhaust manifolds.
2️⃣ Radiator 🌬️💧
What it is: A heat exchanger that cools your engine by sending hot coolant through thin tubes and fins, where air flow carries the heat away.
3️⃣ Cooling System ❄️
What it is: A team of parts (radiator, water pump, thermostat, coolant reservoir, hoses, fans) working together to keep engine temperature in check and prevent overheating.
4️⃣ Battery 🔋
What it is: Your car’s power bank, storing electricity to start the engine and run electronics when the engine’s off.
5️⃣ Alternator ⚡
What it is: A mini generator that charges the battery and powers the car’s electrical system when the engine is running. Driven by a belt from the engine.
6️⃣ Air Filter 🌬️🛡️
What it is: A dust shield for your engine, cleaning the air before it enters the intake so no dirt gets inside.
7️⃣ Fuse Box 🔌
What it is: The circuit protector of your car. Contains fuses and relays that prevent electrical overloads.
8️⃣ Power Steering Fluid Reservoir 🛞💧
What it is: Stores hydraulic fluid that makes steering smoother and easier for the driver.
9️⃣ Brake Fluid Reservoir 🛑💧
What it is: Holds brake fluid that transfers your foot pressure from the brake pedal to the wheels for safe stopping.
🔟 Windshield Washer Fluid Reservoir 🚿
What it is: Stores cleaning liquid to spray on the windshield and help wipers remove dirt, bugs, and dust.
