6 years ago, precisely in September 2015, I closed from office at about 6p.m to go home.

Upon getting to Gwarinpa area of Abuja where I lived, I stopped at a junction to my house to pick up few items at a supermarket.

I parked my vehicle on the road and walked inside the supermarket.

I was out of there in about 10 minutes or thereabout only to discover that my car had been stolen. I rushed to the police division within the estate but they couldn't do much. They more or less blamed me for the incident.

Have you ever been in a situation where your mechanic tells you lies and you can’t do anything about it because you can't verify? You need to hear this:

Mr. Charles lives in the Lekki area of Lagos and had a flight for 5.15 p.m at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos. He planned to leave for the airport at 2:00 p.m hoping to get there before 4:00p.m, traffic or not. He packed his bags in the trunk of the car and arranged his travel documents neatly in the car safe to avoid forgetting anything in the process of rushing.

At about 10.00 a.m, he contacted his mechanic to change the brake pads of the car and service it to avoid car failure on the way to the airport. The mechanic arrived and drove the car to his workshop.

He expected the mechanic to return the car before noon but he was nowhere to be found.

At 12:30 p.m, he called the mechanic and the mechanic said he’d be there soon.
At 1:00 p.m, he called again and the mechanic gave funny excuses but said he was close.
At 1:30 p.m, the mechanic's phone was no longer reachable.
At 2:00p.m, he ordered Uber to his workshop close to Abraham Adesanya Estate, Ajah only to hear that the mechanic left the workshop around 12:30p.m At that time the mechanic's number was switched off. He went back home not knowing what to do or who to reach.

At about 4:05 p.m, the mechanic drove into his compound sweating. “Oga, e ma binu V.I.O lo mu mi”, he said, meaning “I'm sorry sir, I was arrested by V.I.O officers”
