SERDANG, 24 Julai 2026 – Operasi memadam kebakaran di Pasar Borong Selangor berdepan cabaran besar selepas kira-kira 2,000 tin gas metana ditemui berada dalam premis yang terbakar.

Menurut JBPM Selangor, beberapa siri letupan berlaku pada peringkat awal kebakaran, namun berjaya dikawal oleh pasukan bomba. Kehadiran gas mudah terbakar tersebut meningkatkan risiko keselamatan kepada anggota sepanjang operasi pemadaman.

Pasukan bomba menerima panggilan kecemasan pada jam 11.04 malam dan terus menjalankan operasi bagi mengawal kebakaran yang melibatkan beberapa stor di bahagian belakang premis.

Operasi turut menghadapi kekangan apabila beberapa pili bomba berhampiran tidak dapat digunakan, menyebabkan pasukan bomba bergantung kepada bekalan air daripada jentera dan lori tangki.

Punca kebakaran masih dalam siasatan selepas kerja pemadaman selesai sepenuhnya. Tindakan pantas pasukan bomba berjaya menghalang api daripada merebak ke bangunan utama Pasar Borong Selangor.
