We have to love bi***es.

And, no I don't mean it in the oft used as derogatory description for empowered females.

I mean in the literal sense. A female gender of a dog animal is known as a bitch.

At the recent bazaar, I had the opportunity to meet 2 "ladies" shih- tzu, who were rescued from a breeding farm. They were estimated to be about 8 and 11 years old. Estimated because there no details about them.

The stories told by Joy, (I believe her name) the rescuer, were sad, atrocious and diabolical.

They were just breeding machines, to be used and discarded when they can no longer breed.

Not a new story, really. But when you see them, I was told, they are not just old but sickly as well. One had one of her ears cut off. Another had cataract in one eye. It tears at your heart

They are waiting. To be adopted to a kind forever home, or be fostered somewhere. Just waiting...

So, all you peeps out there, buying your perfect puppy, you got to think a little bit, what is the market that you are perpetuating.

Adoption by the way, is an option that may reduce some inhumane breeding.
