Bed bugs: small, silent… but with a huge impact.
Early identification makes the difference between a quick intervention and a complex situation, with potential repercussions on your facility’s reputation.
🔎 How to recognise them:
• Oval, flat body, reddish-brown in color
• Small size (about 5–7 mm)
• Mostly active at night
• Presence of clustered bites on guests or patients
• Visible signs: small black spots (droppings) on mattresses, seams, and headboards
⚠️ Why act immediately:
An infestation that is not promptly managed can quickly spread between rooms and areas, becoming difficult to contain and harmful to your facility’s image.
🏨 For hospitality facilities, nursing homes, and clinics:
Prevention and constant monitoring are essential tools. Training staff for early recognition is the first real line of defense.
📌 Acting quickly means:
✔ reducing costs
✔ limiting spread
✔ protecting guests
✔ avoiding reputational damage
When in doubt, one extra check today is better than an emergency tomorrow.
