⚠️ IS YOUR POOL SERVICE COMPANY KEEPING YOU PWTAG COMPLIANT?

Having your swimming pool serviced regularly doesn’t necessarily mean it’s being maintained to the standards expected of a professionally managed facility.

With updated HSE and Local Authority enforcement priorities for 2026–2029, pool operators should be asking whether their current servicing regime actually addresses the areas that matter.

HSE recognises PWTAG guidance as the standard expected of an effectively managed swimming pool.

So ask yourself:

✓ Are your water treatment records complete and up to date?
✓ Are circulation rates and turnover being checked?
✓ Is suction safety being assessed?
✓ Are filters, pumps and dosing systems being properly maintained?
✓ Is chemical storage and COSHH compliant?
✓ Is microbiological testing being carried out appropriately?
✓ Are preventative maintenance records being kept?
✓ Are your operating procedures and risk assessments current?

A weekly service visit is only valuable if the right things are being checked.

LUMA’s Pool Compliance Health Check provides an independent assessment of your pool, plant room, operating procedures and maintenance regime, followed by a written report identifying any areas requiring attention.

Whether LUMA services your pool or somebody else does, we can independently assess where you currently stand.

Don’t wait for an inspector to tell you what your service company should already have identified.

We’ve seen just how confusing pool water treatment can be, especially when different products, dose rates and advice all seem to say something different.

So over the last month, we’ve combined 64 years of professional pool-care experience to create something that makes it much simpler.

The LUMA Water Expert is completely free to use.

Enter your pool volume or dimensions and your latest water test results, and it will tell you what needs correcting, which chemicals are required, how much to add and the order to treat the water, including guidance for problems such as green or cloudy water.

The dosage calculations are based specifically on the LUMA chemical range. If you use another brand, you’ll need to check that manufacturer’s stated dose rate, although the treatment process and order remain the same.

💧 Introducing the LUMA Water Expert

Not sure what chemicals your swimming pool or spa actually needs?

We’ve just launched our new FREE LUMA Water Expert designed to take the guesswork out of pool and spa water treatment.

Simply enter your pool volume (or dimensions) and your latest water test results, and the Water Expert will analyse your water and create a personalised treatment plan.

It can help identify:
✓ Low or high chlorine
✓ Incorrect pH
✓ Alkalinity problems
✓ Calcium hardness
✓ Stabiliser levels
✓ Cloudy or green water
✓ Algae problems
✓ Spa foaming and scale

It then tells you what needs correcting, the order to treat it, which LUMA products to use and how much you need, with the option to add the recommended treatment products straight to your basket.

No more guessing. Test. Treat. Enjoy.
