Sovann Phoum cooperated with District Education, Youth and Sports Offices of Preah Netr Preah to conduct quarterly meeting school management committee to improve the quality learning for students who faces with difficulties. This meeting is to provide the capacity building to the school management committee on their roles and responsibilities of the management committee according to Instruction No. 49_Primary School Management Committee. The meeting also raises about the finding on slow learners by the classroom teachers in each respective primary school to be aware for the school management committee work with the parents/student’s guardians to motivate their children for study both at school and home.

On July 14 and 15, 2026, Sovann​ Phoum collaborated with the disaster management officer of Preah Net Preah district to raise awareness on disaster risk management in the community with a total of 116 participants, 147 women (Kork Trach village, Chin Meanchey commune, 101 people, 52 women,
and Khner village, Bosbov commune, 111 people, 95 women) with the aim of raising awareness among community members on disaster preparedness and management plans that occur in the community.
The activities included the following content to present the results, inspire ideas, and gather input from participants, such as 1. What is a disaster? 2. Preparedness 3. What to do when a disaster occurs? 4. Understanding hygiene during a disaster 5. Understanding clean water during a disaster. This awareness supported by World Vision Cambodia through implementing the project Enhancing Food Security, Nutrition, and Livelihoods for Vulnerable Households to Build Climate Resilience and Improve Child Education.

The project team of the Enhancing Food Security, Nutrition, and Livelihoods through Community Development to Improve Child Education (EFCE) project of Sovann Phoum has collaborated with community youth and local authorities to select 250 families to benefit from the first phase of the project in Preah Net Preah and Teuk Cho communes of Preah Net Preah district, Banteay Meanchey province, which is supported by Food for the Hungry Canada🇨🇦.

ចាប់ពីគម្រោងបានជួយគាំទ្រលើការចិញ្ចឹមទាកាប៉ា រហូលដល់បច្ចុប្បន្នបងស្រី សេរីបានលក់កូនទាចំនួន ២ ដង សរុប 71 ក្បាល ។ សព្វថ្ងៃបងស្រីនៅមានទាសរុប សរុប 30 ក្បាល និងពងកំពុងក្រាបញាស់ 80 គ្រាប់។

គាត់សង្ឃឹមថានឹងរកប្រាក់ចំណូលបានកាន់តែច្រើន ដើម្បីគាំទ្រដល់ជីវភាពគ្រួសារ និងការសិក្សារបស់កូនៗរបស់គាត់។

Mrs. Seri and her family would like to express their deep gratitude to World Vision Cambodia for a small business package for Muscovy ducks raising , which including 16 duck training on duck raising, business plan, and visioning family plan.

Her family live in Kouk Trach village, Chhnour Meanchey commune, Preah Netr Preah district, Banteay Meanchey province. So far, Mrs.Seri has sold two ducklings (71 heads) to earn money to support her family and send her children to school. Today, Mrs. Seri has a total of 30 Muscovy ducks and 80 hatching eggs.

Through this, She hopes to earn more income to continue supporting her family and her children's education.

Today ,Sovann Phoum received a visit from reginal and AP team leaders to visit the progress of Enhancing Food Security, Nutrition, and Livelihoods for Vulnerable Households to Build Climate Resilience and Improve Child Education project that has been implementing for 9 months. This visit provides the key learnings and motivation on working as partners between Sovann Phoum and World Vison Cambodia.

Child to child learning club provides additional learning to help children who are slow learners who cannot write, understand vowels, consonants, and spelling, which is the reason why they cannot read Cambodian language. This study club is taught by talented and volunteer children and has been operating since early March 2026, with 18 study clubs, 234 slow learners (81 girls) in primary schools in Preah Net Preah district, Banteay Meanchey province. This is supported by World Vision Cambodia, a project called Enhancing Food Security, Nutrition, and Livelihoods for Vulnerable Households to Build Climate Resilience and Improve Child Education.

The confidence and ownership has been established for brother Sok Reun and his wife , Savann after first successful pigs raising in small scale for 3 pigs that received support from World Vision Cambodia for starting up a small business initiatives including technical training supports and regular follow up supports to his house in Kauk Pongro village, Chhnour Meanchey commune, Preah Netr Preah district, Banteay Meanchey province.

Now, his family has continued to re-invest for 5 pigs more to raise by using the fund profit from previous pigs investments.The family is happy because they can use the income from selling pigs to support 2 children to school regularly and continue to re-invest for their small business.
