Sanitary Bins | 7 Things You Need to Know

What sanitary bins are right for you? Well that depends on your Office environment, your budget and who will be using your bins.

👧. Different organisations have different needs

Ideally bins should combine large waste holding capacity with minimal floor obstruction. The bins need to be both robust and serviceable with liners.

To complement sanitary disposal bins, we recommend you also supply sanitary bag dispenser which makes a caring statement to the end user and promotes maximum hygiene.

👧. Sanitary Bins Servicing
As well as providing sanitary disposal bins in female cubicles, you are also legally obliged to have the waste collected under a Waste Transfer Note and disposed of responsibly at Waste Transfer Stations.

So this means you will need to appoint a Service Provider, who will service your bins at regular intervals. Services provided include:
1.removing the waste
2.cleaning & sanitising the bin
3.relining sanitary disposal bins
4.adding germicide granules: formulated specifically to control micro-organisms pathogens and odours within sanitary disposal bins maintaining efficiency for up to 6 weeks. MRSA; E.Coli; Hep.B; HIV as well as a range of other potentially infectious micro-organisms

The standard frequency is 4 times weekly, but for lower traffic cubicles twice weekly is also acceptable.

Your Service Provider must provide you with an Annual Waste Transfer Note to keep you fully compliant with legislation on Sanitary Waste Disposal.
