Water Service Providers (WSPs) from Nyeri County today paid a courtesy call to the Tana Water Works Development Agency (TWWDA) to strengthen collaboration and align ongoing efforts in water and sanitation service delivery.

During the meeting, the WSP Managing Directors commended TWWDA for its continued support in infrastructure development, technical assistance, and capacity building. The discussions focused on enhancing coordination between the Agency and WSPs to accelerate access to safe, reliable, and sustainable water services within the region.

TWWDA leadership reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with WSPs to ensure efficient project implementation, improved service coverage, and compliance with national water sector standards. The courtesy call underscored the shared vision of collaboration and engagement in order to meet the needs of the citizens in the region.

Board of Directors Undertake Induction and Familiarisation Tour

Today, NYEWASCO's Board of Directors successfully undertook an induction and familiarisation tour aimed at enhancing their understanding of the Company's operations, infrastructure, and strategic priorities.

The exercise was graced by the CECM for Water, Irrigation, Environment, and Climate Change, Hon. Frederick Kinyua, who joined the Board throughout the tour. The Board was accompanied by NYEWASCO's Senior Management Team, who provided technical briefings and operational insights at each facility.

Following introductory presentations at the Company's headquarters, the team visited Kamakwa Water Treatment Plant and Laboratory, The Tetu-Tank, Ihwa Intake, Nyeri Hill Tank, Mathari Twin Tanks, King'ong'o Pumping Station, Gatei Sewerage Treatment Plant, Gatiko Tank, and the Kangemi Sewerage Treatment Plant and BSF Project.

The tour gave the Board firsthand insight into NYEWASCO's water production, treatment, storage, distribution, and wastewater management systems, as well as ongoing infrastructure investments that continue to strengthen service delivery across the Company's service area.

The induction and familiarisation exercise reflects NYEWASCO's commitment to strong corporate governance by ensuring the Board is well-equipped to provide strategic leadership, effective oversight, and informed decision-making in advancing the Company's mandate.
