Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic, creative, and results-oriented Social Media Manager to elevate our online presence. You will manage our social media channels (including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and others) to promote our advanced fumigation services, build brand awareness, engage with clients, generate leads for pest control solutions (e.g., bed bugs, cockroaches, rodents, mould), and support business growth across Kenya and East Africa.
Requirements / Qualifications
1. Hold a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Journalism, Business, or a related field (preferably from the University of Nairobi or a recognized Kenyan university).
2. At least 2 years of hands-on experience in social media management, digital marketing, or content creation (experience in service-based industries like pest control, cleaning, or home services is an advantage).
3. Age between 24 and 28 years.
4. Strong proficiency in social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter/X, LinkedIn, WhatsApp Business) and tools like Canva, Meta Business Suite, analytics dashboards, and basic video/photo editing software.
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (Kiswahili is a plus).
6. Proven ability to create engaging content, manage campaigns, and analyze performance metrics.
7. Self-motivated, creative, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
8. Passport holder is an added advantage (for potential regional travel or collaborations in East Africa).
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy aligned with company goals to increase brand visibility, engagement, and lead generation for fumigation and pest control services.
2. Create, schedule, and publish high-quality, engaging content (posts, stories, reels, videos, graphics) across all platforms, highlighting our eco-friendly fumigation techniques, drone-assisted applications, success stories, and pest prevention tips.
3. Manage day-to-day community engagement: respond promptly to comments, messages, inquiries, reviews, and customer interactions to build trust and convert leads.
4. Monitor social media trends, pest control industry news, and competitor activities to keep content relevant and innovative.
5. Plan and run targeted social media campaigns and paid ads (e.g., Meta Ads) to promote services in Nairobi and nationwide, optimizing for reach, engagement, and ROI.
6. Track, analyze, and report on key performance metrics (reach, impressions, engagement rates, clicks, leads) using platform analytics and tools; provide monthly insights and recommendations to improve results.
7. Collaborate with the sales and operations teams to create content that showcases before-and-after results, client testimonials, service packages, and seasonal pest control promotions.
8. Maintain consistent brand voice, visual identity, and messaging across all channels while ensuring compliance with advertising standards and company guidelines.
9. Identify and cultivate partnerships with influencers, local businesses, or communities for co-branded content or shoutouts to expand reach.
10. Stay updated on emerging social media features, best practices, and algorithm changes to keep our presence competitive and effective.
