Cleaning taught me something that not everyone understands.
Some clients don’t complain because you’re doing a bad job; it's just their nature. Sometimes, they’re not testing your work; they’re testing how you handle pressure.
I once had a client who complained from start to finish. Nothing was ever quite right, and honestly, it took everything in me to stay calm. I focused on the work, kept my tone respectful, and finished the job without reacting.
A few days later, my phone rang. It was a new client. Guess who referred him? The same person who complained throughout the entire job.
That day taught me a powerful lesson: sometimes your calmness is what people remember, not your arguments. Be mindful of your reactions. Your character might be actively working even when you think nothing is working.
