CALL for DONATIONS

To all our friends, stakeholders of our school and all kind-hearted people out there:

Minnasan konnichiwa!
Last April 30 - May 2, 2020, we have successfully conducted a COVID-19 relief operation to 11 communities in Iloilo City covering 300 families. Thank you very much to each one of you who had participated and offered assistance. Without you, this event wouldn't have been made possible. Doumo arigatou gozaimash*ta!

Upon conducting random community survey through our local barangay officials, we found out that many people in the urban poor communities still suffer hunger. The food supplies that they have received from the local government and non-government organizations could only last for up to 2 to 3 days and these families have no means to cover for the shortage due to the present lockdown.

Some areas have received their rations twice, in other areas just once, and the worst case is that there were areas who have not received their rations at all. They could barely eat three meals a day.

In this connection, we call on your kind hearts and benevolence to extend assistance to these families in cash or in kind. You may also donate the following: canned goods, noodles, rice, root crops, vegetables, biscuits, coffee, sugar, milo, milk, bath soap, laundry soap, toothpaste, baby diapers, sanitary napkins, alcohol, and the like. We believe that our voluntary donations in kind, will surely be of great help especially in this difficult time of the COVID-19. Thank you in advance for your generosity.

Our school, Nikkei-Jin Kai Japanese Language Training Center, Inc. will be the one to accept all donations. It is located at Lot 17, Block 7, Banker's Village IV, Tabuc Suba, Jaro, Iloilo City, Panay Island. Please send your messages at the following cellphone number 09469479888 or email us at [email protected] or you may call us at tel. no.: (033) 3205154.

For cash donations, kindly deposit at our BPI Account:
Account Number: 009143-0099-52
Name: NJK J*P LANGUAGE TRAINING CENTER INC
Branch: 0914-ILOILO ATRIA

We will get through this, TOGETHER! Stay home. Stay safe. Save lives.

A repost 😥😥🥺

So suddenly:

New York 'the city that never sleeps' is now asleep, all quiet.

Paris the 'center of romance' lives in echos.

Rome 'the eternal city' is deserted.

Disney is out of magic.

London is caged in silence, the Queen speaks to her people from a hidden room.

Mecca is empty! Nobody to 'stone the devil'.

The Chinese wall is no longer a fortress.

The G8 nations are speechless.

The developed world suddenly on its knees.

Churches, mosques, great parks, monuments, stadiums are filled with unfilled spaces.

The busiest places at present were hitherto the most dreaded: hospitals and cemeteries.

The famous football leagues, the fashion shows, exotic weddings, festivals all lost to memory.

Celebrities have run out of celebrations. Our titles, status and privileged positions are stale.

With all our boastful 'citizenships' we cannot step out of our houses. With all our savings in gold and cash, we can only buy food to eat and toilet papers to take care of the waste.

We usually went to watch animals in cages, now animals roam our empty streets, watching us in our 'cages'.

With our expensive clothes and shoes, our house clothes and pyjamas are the latest fashion.

AND despite all these 'oddities'...the world still goes on; the sun still shines; the birds still sing our God is still in His Throne.

When this long night finally gets over and a new day sets in, let us not forget the lesson of the long night - that the only essential is LIFE, the rest are but dispensable prefixes and suffixes - BUSY EMPTINESS.

LETS LIVE OUR LIFE TO THE FULLEST: TO BE A BLESSING TO OTHERS, AND TO PLEASE GOD OUR CREATOR.THIS WORLD IS NOT OURS.

ALL IS VANITY...

Lord, Have mercy on us...

Lord, Have mercy on us...

23/03/2020

President Rodrigo Roa Duterte passed Proclamation No. 934 declaring the 4th week of March 2020 as a National Week of Prayer.

The whole world should be praying this now I got all choked up as I prayed it.
Let’s bow our heads and pray:

Eternal Father, You made the whole world stop spinning for awhile.
You silenced the noise that we all have created
You made us bend our knees
again and ask for a miracle.
You closed Your churches so we will realize how dark our world without You in it.

You humble the proud
and powerful.
The economy is crashing,
businesses are closing.
We were very proud,
we thought that everything
we have, everything we
possess was the result of
our hardwork.
We have forgotten that it was always Your grace and mercy that made us who we are.

We’re like running in circles looking for some cure to this disease but in fact it takes humility to ask for Your wisdom.

We’ve been living our lives like we will be here on earth forever, like there’s no heaven.
Maybe these trials are Your
mercy in disguise.
Maybe this virus is actually
Your way of purifying us,
cleansing our soul, bringing
us back to YOU.
. In the past you serenaded us with Hosea’s song:

“Come back to me with all your heart.
Don't let fear keep us apart
Trees do bend though straight and tall.
So must we to others' call
Long have I waited for
Your coming home to me
And living deeply our new lives”.

You have been patiently waiting for us. We’re so sorry for ignoring Your voice. For our selfish ways. We all deserve this. We have forgotten You Dear Father. 😔
. We’ve forgotten that You are GOD . You only need to say the words and our souls shall be healed.

🙏🙏🙏Prayer for all🙏🙏
