Buying online from a drop shipper or buying from your local specialist.
Almost everything can be bought online for less than it can be bought from a local supplier.
This is because the online companies buy huge volumes directly from the manufacturers for prices less than local suppliers can buy from their suppliers. They sell to a worldwide audience with very low overheads which means they can afford to make very little profit on every item.
Your local specialist has to pay more for the product in the first place, generally has higher overheads and only sell a very small amount of their products to a much smaller audience.
However, there is a big difference between the services offered by these two companies.
Has the drop shipper tested and used the product at their own property so they have expert knowledge and trust what they are selling? No, they don't.
Does the drop shipper hand deliver the product, unwrap and put together the product, spend time explaing how everything works, answer all your questions so that you are happy that you understand everything you need to know?.......No, they don't.
If you have a problem with the product does a drop shipper visit your property to have a look to see if it is something easily repairable and see if they can get it working for you again? No, they don't?
If the product fails within its guarantee period will a drop shipper deliver you a replacement immediately if it can't be repaired on the spot? No, they don't.
If the product fails outside of its guarantee will the drop shipper help you get it repaired? No, they won't.
Does the drop shipper actually care if you are happy with the product? No, they don't.
Are you just a faceless number in the drop shippers email address book....yes, you are.
Sometimes it isn't just about the money.
