It is strange enough to find a w**e cellar here, hidden among the hills of the Tuscan-Romagnolo countryside. Stranger still to discover that it lives within one of the valley’s most strategic homes.
These walls have always provided something.
An old bread oven is carved into them, still used today, where bread was once baked for the entire community. Up the hill, a fresh water stream carried water to the homes scattered across the countryside.
Bread came from here.
Water passed through here.
People gathered here.
And today, w**e is made here.
From vineyards growing on these same hills, through seasons this place has watched come and go for longer than any of us.
In a place that has spent centuries nourishing a valley, how could w**e be any less important?
