AngelEye joined the Lunch & Learn event at the Riga Islande Hotel, organized together with SPA Servisa centrs and Myrtha Pools, bringing together aquatic experts and architects from Latvia and Estonia to discuss innovation, design, and safety in aquatic facilities.
During the event, our colleague Francesco Fabbiani shared a striking insight: 73% of Latvians cannot swim or do not feel confident in water. A powerful reminder that raising awareness around water safety and prevention is not optional, but essential.

Pool safety is built on technology, but it truly comes to life through the people who use it every day.

We spoke with Emir, a lifeguard at Bærum Idrettspark in Norway, to explore what it means to work today with drowning detection systems and how they are reshaping safety management, both in and out of the water. From managing pool capacity during the pandemic to the freedom of movement enabled by AngelEye LifeGuard, his experience offers a genuine, first-hand perspective on the value of technology in supporting professionals on duty.
