ग्राम पंचायत वार्ड र जिल्ला पंचयात टेरिटोरीमा सिक्किमे लिम्बु तामाङ जनजातिको सम्मानुपतिक र छुटै आरक्षण नभए सम्म पंचयात चुनाव लाई राज्य निर्वाचन आयोगले रोक (Stay) लगाउनु पर्छ।

केहि दिन अघि राज्य निर्वाचन आयोग द्वारा जारी गरीएको एक अधिसुचना पाइयो। त्यस अधिसुचना अनुसार ST seat मा लिम्बु तामाङ बाहेक भोटिया लेप्चा पनि चुनाव लड़न सक्ने भनी उल्लेख गरेको पाइयो। राज्य निर्वाचन आयोगले जारी गरेको यस अधिसुचना सिक्किमे लिम्बु तामाङको जनजातिको अधिकार र अस्तित्व अब खतरामा परेको देखिएको छ। राज्य निर्वावच आयोगले गैर कानूनी र लिम्बु तामाङ जनजाति बिरोधी कार्य गरेको छ यस अधिसुचना ले बताउछ।
यस बाहेक धेरै वटा लिम्बु तामाङ बाहुल्य रहेको पंचयात वार्ड र जिल्ला टेरिटोरीहरुमा पनि लिम्बु तामाङको लाई आरक्षण नभए पाइयो। यस्तो हरकत हेर्दा राज्य निर्वाचन आयोगका अफिसरहरुले दशैमा मातेको दङदङगीमा नै सीट आरक्षण गरेर अधिसुचना जारी गरेको हुन सक्छ। राज्य निर्वाचन आयोगले यसरी लिम्बु तामाङको आखा नै देखाई देखाई घोचेको छ, यस्तो हाम्रो अधिकार विरोधी राज्य निर्वाचन आयोगको हरकत हामी सहन गर्न सक्दैनौ।राज्य सरकारले चाड़ो भन्दा चाड़ो येस्ता असक्षम अफिसर माथि कारवाही र निर्वाचन आयोगको गैर कानुनी क्रियाकलाप लाई मध्य नजर राखेर सरकारले निर्वाचन आयोग माथि हस्तक्षेप गरेर सिक्किमे लिम्बु तामाङ जनजातिको र अन्य सिक्किमे समुदाय लाई सम्मानुपतिक र सही सीट आरक्षण नभए सम्म यस Election लाई रोक (Stay) लगाई दिया जावोस।

Limboos of Sikkim condemn the statement given by the spokesperson of SDF Party J.B. Darnal. During press conference held yesterday Mr. Darnal has oppose the declaration of Chasok Tongnam as Govt. holiday.
SDF Party and it's Spokesperson Mr. Darnal should apologize to Sikkimese Limboo for his anti Limboo statement.

एस.डि.एफ पार्टीका प्रवक्ता श्री जे.बी दरनाल ले हिज Press Conference मार्फत चासोक तङनाम लाई सरकारी विदा घोषित गरेको भनेर यस लाई बिरोध गरेको छ। चासोक तङनामको बिरोध गर्नु नै सिक्किमेली लिम्बु जनजाति विरोध गर्नु हो। एस.डि.एफ पार्टी र यसको प्रवक्ता श्री दरनाल ले सारा सिक्किमेली लिम्बु जनजाति लाई माफी मांगनु पर्छ। यदि वहाँहरुले माफी नमागे सिक्किमेली लिम्बुहरु ले सोचने दिन आयो।

The recent New Delhi visit by Hon'ble Chief Minister P. S. Golay, where he apprised the long pesnding issues including LT seat reservation of the state to the Union Hon'ble Home Minister, Law Minister and other concern ministeries is thankful step. It is welcome initiative of the government to have apprised the matter at this juncture of pandemic related crisis. Limboo Tamang seat reservation which is a 18 year old constitutional demand, undoubtly the denial of the rightful claim of these two communities is unconstitutional and grave injustice. We welcome the initiative and express high optimism to this government that the pending issue of LT seat reservation in SLA shall soon meet a logical conclusion by doing justice to the communities and undone constitutional crisis persisting since 18 years. We also express deep concern on persisting delay.

Today, i.e., 9th Day of August was proclaimed by the United Nations as the day of World's indigenous People. This year's "International Day if the World's Indigenous People" commemorates with the theme "Leaving no one behind: Indigenous peoples and the call for a new social contract".
This special day is observed each year with an aim and object to spread awareness of the need to protect the social, economic and political rights of I communities worldwide.

On this auspicious day, we would extend our warm greetings and wishes towards all our community being from the desk of JAC and express high positivity on recent visit of HCM to Delhi where he apprised the rights of LTs in front of the concern ministers and authorities.

2. Article 332 enables LT STs for reservation of seats in SLA.

3. Article 371F (f) makes reservation of seats as Limboo Tamang ST seat in SLA.

We, all the Executives and members of the Sikkim Limboo-Tamang Tribal Joint Committee (JAC) would like to extend our best wishes to all the candidates contesting in the election of Sikkim Tamang Buddhist Association, 2020 which is going to take place tomorrow i.e. 12th of December, 2020 at Hyangla Dhim, Syari.

Our wishes also to the participating voters and community as a whole.
