Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC) hosted Trade Meet 2026 at Whitefield, in the esteemed presence of Sh. Samuel Praveen Kumar, Director (Marketing & Corporate Planning), CWC, bringing together prominent stakeholders from the EXIM and logistics ecosystem to deliberate on emerging opportunities in integrated supply chain and multimodal logistics solutions.

The meet served as an important platform to showcase CWC’s expanding capabilities in EXIM logistics, warehousing, and rail-linked multimodal operations. Detailed Presentations highlighted on CWC CFS operations at Whitefield and other strategic locations, along with the newly developed CWC Integrated Rail Terminal (CIRT), Kadugodi, enabling seamless cargo movement to Tamil Nadu/Chennai, Gujarat, and other key destinations across India. Regional Managers from Bangalore, Ahmedabad, and Chennai presented operational strengths, connectivity advantages, and business opportunities available through these corridors.

An award distribution ceremony was also organized to recognize and felicitate valued trade partners for their continued contribution towards import and export operations.

The event reaffirmed CWC’s commitment towards strengthening integrated logistics infrastructure, enhancing customer engagement, and delivering efficient, reliable, and end-to-end logistics solutions for the EXIM trade.

A landmark moment for Central Warehousing Corporation as rail operations were formally flagged off at the CWC Integrated Rail Terminal (CIRT), Kadugodi, with the dispatch of the first EXIM container train to Chennai for export movement.

The flag-off ceremony were carried out by Sh. P. Ananth, IRSME, General Manager, South Western Railway; Smt. Jacintha Lazarus, IAS, Executive Director (South), Food Corporation of India; Sh. Ashutosh Kumar Singh, IRSEE, Divisional Railway Manager, Bengaluru Division; and Sh. Samuel Praveen Kumar, Director (Marketing & Corporate Planning), Central Warehousing Corporation along with other senior officials from Indian Railways, CWC, and FCI.

The commencement of rail operations at CIRT Kadugodi marks a significant step towards strengthening multimodal logistics connectivity and enabling efficient cargo movement to Chennai Port and other destinations across the country. Strategically positioned to support EXIM and domestic cargo operations, the terminal is poised to become an important logistics hub in the region.

Marking a major step towards strengthening rail-linked logistics infrastructure, Central Warehousing Corporation inaugurated CWC Integrated Rail Terminal (CIRT), Kadugodi siding for rail connectivity and cargo handling operations.

The siding was inaugurated by Smt. Jacintha Lazarus, IAS, Executive Director (South), Food Corporation of India along with Sh. Samuel Praveen Kumar, Director (Marketing & Corporate Planning), Central Warehousing Corporation in the presence of Regional Managers of CWC and General Managers of Food Corporation of India.

Strategically located at the heart of Whitefield, CIRT Kadugodi is poised to emerge as a key hub for EXIM and domestic cargo movement across PAN India. CWC has developed a fully equipped 5-acre paved container storage yard with high mast lighting and CCTV security infrastructure to facilitate seamless multimodal logistics operations.

The terminal is equipped to handle BLC/BLSS rail traffic on a full rake handling basis, supported by a 600 MT payload Rail-Road Shunter Vehicle and a Reach Stacker for efficient cargo handling operations.

This initiative further strengthens CWC’s commitment towards developing integrated, efficient and future-ready logistics infrastructure for the nation.

Central Warehousing Corporation (CWC), a Navratna CPSE under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Government of India, today held a high-level strategic meeting with Hon’ble Mr. Dhananjay Ramful, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Regional Integration and International Trade, Republic of Mauritius. The discussions were led by Shri Santosh Sinha, Managing Director, CWC, in the presence of Shri A. M. Rao, Head – IT & Consultancy Cell, CWC, and Shri Anuj Vohra, Chief Business Officer – SIL India, representing State Informatics Limited, Mauritius.
The meeting focused on a proposed Government-to-Government (G2G) MoU between CWC and State Informatics Limited, a state-owned technology partner of the Republic of Mauritius, as a strategic framework to co-develop Smart, Green and Sustainable Agri-Warehousing infrastructure, Logistics Parks, Smart Temperature-controlled Warehousing and Port-led EXIM logistics assets in Mauritius. Both sides explored advanced use cases including AI & IoT powered Pharma-grade Smart Warehousing, Digital Twins, Integrated ERP–WMS platforms, and paperless Smart EXIM logistics including integrated Transport Management Systems.
Under the envisaged MoU, CWC will anchor implementation using its extensive PAN India Scientific Warehousing expertise and Smart Warehousing/Smart EXIM platforms, while SIL will act as the strategic public-sector IT and facilitation partner for Mauritius and the wider African region.
This strategic G2G collaboration is aimed at strengthening food security, resilient and sustainable supply chains, and smarter trade facilitation between India, Mauritius and the wider region through technology-driven, future-ready warehousing and logistics solutions.

Training Today for Tomorrow’s Logistics Excellence

In the esteemed presence of Shri Samuel Praveen Kumar, Director (M&CP), officials of the CWC from across India underwent an intensive training programme on Rail operations.

Conducted by distinguished professors and subject matter experts at the Indian Railway Institute of Transport Management, Lucknow, from 27th to 30th April 2026, the programme was designed to enhance their practical understanding, deepen their knowledge, and strengthen their technical acumen in rail operations, in alignment with the objectives of the National Logistics Policy.
