That single shift is quietly redrawing the raw material map for egg tray plants.

→ ONP: declining circulation, rising prices, unstable supply
→ OCC: abundant, e-commerce-driven, better long-term availability

The catch? OCC doesn’t behave like ONP.

Plastic films, wax, metals, grit, and stickies all come along for the ride. A plant built for newsprint can quickly start paying for it in rejects.

Plants making the switch successfully share the same process backbone:
HC pulping → HD cleaning → 3-stage screening → stable stock consistency
