Ten years in and this pair of leather loafers is still going strong even with frequent wear. 👞✨

With annual deep cleaning, small leather restoration touch ups every couple of years, multiple sole replacements every few years, now upgraded with Vibram non slip soles and fresh metal plating on the hardware, they continue to stay looking sharp through years of use and abuse. 🧐💥

Good leather can last a lifetime when you care for it properly. You can always buy new, but when a pair carries memories and still looks incredible, giving it a new lease of life is far more meaningful. ♻️

Rescuing pre-owned luxury fashion is a daily ritual at Jeeves Hong Kong.♥️

In this jacket’s case, the care label said dry clean, but dry cleaning alone would deliver zero visual improvement. The stains required careful hand treatment with targeted spotting agents, precise measurements, controlled temperatures and full protection of trims. Buttons were removed and reapplied to safeguard the structure. 🤓💡

We performed a hand wet wash using our specialized Jeeves detergents, then finished with a dry clean cycle to soften the fabric, revive the colour and remove any remaining spotting agents. After drying, we hand pressed and re measured the piece until it looked brand new.✨🌟💥

If Jeeves cannot remove the stains, it's highly unlikely anyone else can do it safely, stain removal is never guaranteed. ⚠️

Always check the care label on your designer hats.

Luxury pieces with multiple materials, like this Chrome Hearts hat, almost always require spot cleaning by hand 🧼. Immersive processes such as dry cleaning or machine washing can distort the shape, cause colour bleeding, and damage delicate fabrics, hardware, and embellishments.

A simple baseball cap might survive a gentle home wash, but a high end hat like this would be completely ruined. 🧢⚠️⚡

Stop storing clothes in dry cleaner plastic. That plastic is only for transport and hygiene. Leaving it on does not allow garments to breathe. It traps humidity especially in Hong Kong which causes mould, yellowing and oxidation even on freshly cleaned garments. 🚐

Reusable fabric bags sound eco friendly but they are costly and especially not waterproof in rainy or typhoon seasons and make garment identification difficult. Fabric garment bags are better for storage not transportation. ♻️

Best practice remove the plastic as soon as you get home and recycle it or return it to your dry cleaner.

Quick differences between laundry and dry cleaning 🤓

Dry cleaning uses a solvent instead of water. It is ideal for delicate or structured fabrics that can shrink or lose shape with heat or moisture.🧪👨‍🔬👩‍🔬

Laundry uses water and detergent. It is perfect for everyday washable items like cotton, denim, towels and bedding.🧼💦
