Over the years, people have tried to ‘help me change’ or ‘fit in’ in the name of helping me to be a better person or on the pretext of loving me.

Am human so I have tried to change to be able to qualify for what was being served. In the end, I got nothing and ended up losing myself.

I got tired of it all and took a stance to be myself, to love all the good, the bad, the ugly and bu****it about me. It’s been a long journey trying to find myself among all the clutter I have grown over the years but I am proud of how far I have come.

I have learnt that people who genuinely love you won’t look at your flaws or your mistakes but will rather concentrate on your strength and contribute what they can to empower and strengthen you.

The right people will love you regardless of where you fall short and the wrong people will leave no matter how hard you try to conform to their standard.

There is a power that comes with accepting and loving everything that makes you that no one can take from you😇
