I Miss you Ozzy!

I missed you silently today. So quietly that no one noticed.

I missed your lick on my hand as I turned off my alarm to get up.

I missed your excitement as I got out of bed, I missed hearing your quiet guttural sound and your tale hitting me softly yet with a frenzy.

I missed seeing you on your bed waiting with exhilaration for your first morning treat.

I missed our early morning snuggles while I drank my coffee.

I missed you bouncing into the car ready for your walk and a day at work.

I missed your smiling face, your dark brown eyes lighting up when you look at me.

I miss our adventures, even if it was just putting the rubbish out

I miss the feel of your fur as I stroke you softy.

I miss you eating the food on the kitchen side and that giveaway guilty look.

I miss you chewing my socks, my shoes in fact everything, while ignoring all your wonderful toys.

I miss your smelly farts. Actually no, no I don't!

I missed you without showing my grief but boy how I feel it.

Yes, I missed you in silence today, my Ozzy. But yet it felt so deafening.
