Well, the time has come. After 10 glorious years, meeting loads of lovely people, cleaning thousands of ovens, the Oven Magician is packing away his wand!
As most of you know I opened up a shop/venue in town two and a half years ago and left the dirty work to George, my apprentice, my little padawan, to continue and uphold the reputation you lovely people had given us.
Selfishly, George has decided to move to Wales and due to lack of time to train someone new and my knees been shot to pieces I've decided to concentrate on the shop and hang up the oven gloves. Our last day will be 23rd June.
I just wanted to say a huge, massive thank you to all our customers over the last 10 years, it's been an absolute blast and we have genuinely loved been a part of your lives. We've seen families start, kids grow and a thousand dogs that all became our best friend.
But most of all I'd like to thank Lucy, the phone voice of the Oven Magician and responder of emails & young George, who has been with me for over 7 years and took over the mantle of solo head honcho 18 months ago to keep the company afloat. We wish you all the best in Wales George, I know it's something you're looking forward to, but at the same time I'm going to miss the giggles we had. The cafe will never be the same!
So, with a tear rolling down my cheek, whilst remembering the great days we wish you adieu, au revoir & good bye.
