Not every job can be completed between 9 and 5… and that’s absolutely fine.

This morning’s job was for a local hairdressers in Droitwich.

To avoid disrupting customers and staff, the work was completed out of hours, allowing the business to open as normal with a clean, welcoming entrance.

Before any cleaning started, a full risk assessment was carried out and the work area was safely isolated using cones and barrier tape to protect members of the public passing by.

The concrete steps and entrance area were thoroughly cleaned, removing built-up dirt, algae and grime. The step edges are now clean and properly prepared, ready for the customer to repaint the pink safety edges, helping restore the entrance to its best.

For me, it’s about far more than simply cleaning a surface.

It’s about:

🤔Coming towards the end of another busy week for J&A External cleaning services.

Honesty costs nothing… but it means everything.

A little story from this week that I thought was worth sharing.

I arrived at a customer’s property to carry out a pre-booked gutter clearance. As I always do, before starting any work I inspected the gutters using my camera system so I could see exactly what I was dealing with.

There were a few small bits of debris, but certainly not enough to justify carrying out a gutter clearance or charging the customer.

So I packed my equipment away, knocked on the door and explained that, in my professional opinion, the gutters simply didn’t need cleaning yet.

The customer was genuinely surprised and thanked me for my honesty.

Could I have gone ahead and carried out the work anyway? Yes. But that’s not how I choose to run J&A External Cleaning Services.

I firmly believe that trust is far more valuable than one invoice. If your gutters need clearing, I’ll tell you. If they don’t, I’ll tell you that too.

CONFESSIONS OF A PRESSURE WASHER…

Hi…

I’m the machine that lives in the back of Andy’s van.

Most people don’t notice me.

They only hear me when I get to work.

Over the last six and a half years I’ve cleaned hundreds of driveways, patios, paths, gutters and properties across Worcestershire.

I’ve seen people apologise for the state of their patio before I’ve even been switched on.

The funny thing is…

As another busy week comes to an end, I’d just like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported J&A External Cleaning Services.
