For the second year running, we’re very proud to have installed this beautiful hand-knitted poppy display at Powick Church. It’s an honour to support our local church and help bring this moving tribute into place.

A huge credit to everyone who put so much time and care into making these poppies. Seeing them cascading down the tower is a powerful reminder of what they represent.

More than ever, we must remember those who fought for our freedom, those who never came home, and the sacrifices made so we could live the lives we do today.

We will remember them. ❤️

💙🩷 Tonight, Kidderminster Town Hall is illuminated in blue and pink in support of Baby Loss Awareness Week, remembering every baby lost and standing alongside everyone affected by pregnancy and baby loss.

Held every year from 9–15 October, the week brings people together to remember, raise awareness and help break the silence surrounding baby loss. Buildings across the country turn pink and blue as a visible reminder that nobody should have to face their grief alone.

🕯️ Tonight at 7pm, you can join the global Wave of Light by lighting a candle and leaving it burning for at least an hour in memory of all babies who have died.

To parents, siblings, grandparents, friends and everyone carrying a loss — whether recent or many years ago — we’re thinking of you.

Nice little before & after on a project we have recently completed in Ledbury.

The original Bath Stone around this doorway had become badly weathered and lost a lot of its original detail. We carefully cut out the decayed sections and replaced them with Hartham Park Bath Stone, all worked by hand to match the existing mouldings and profiles.

Proud to have been involved in the stonework at Perrins Hall, RGS Worcester.

Starting with raw Stanton Moor sandstone block, every piece was cut and worked in our Worcester workshops, before being hand carved by our masons and fitted on site by our onsite stonemasons.

A great local project working alongside Barnwood Ltd, with the scheme designed by Glazzard Architects.

A proper transformation at this beautiful Grade I listed property

We’ve carried out extensive stone replacement to this historic window, including full front-to-back mullions, transom and heads, carefully worked and fitted to replicate the original detailing.

A great example of traditional stonemasonry — keeping as much of the character of the original window as possible while giving it another lease of life.

Working alongside our good friends who have completely rebuilt the leaded lights and restored the opener.

Today would have been my Grandad Terry Allard’s 90th birthday.

Sadly, my dad, Steve, lost him at a very young age. Despite that, he carried forward everything Grandad had taught him and went on to build Steve Allard & Son Stonemasons from the ground up. Through hard work, determination and a passion for traditional craftsmanship, he created the family business that I’m now incredibly proud to run.

Grandad was a respected stonemason who ran the well-known Ben Davis of Hilton Road, and although I never had the chance to work alongside him, I feel connected to him every day through the trade that has been in our family for generations.

I’m honoured to be the sixth generation of Allard stonemasons. Every historic building we help conserve, every stone we hand carve and every project we complete carries a small part of our family’s history. It’s a legacy built over generations, and one that I’m determined to continue for the generations that follow.

Happy 90th Birthday, Grandad. Your name, your craftsmanship and the values you passed on still live on through our family and in every piece of stone we work.

Here’s to six generations of stonemasons—and to the generations still to come.

There’s something incredibly rewarding about working on structures that have stood for centuries.

We’re proud to have been entrusted with the conservation of the historic gate piers at Berkeley’s Hospital, Worcester, together with the carved bear finials that have overlooked Foregate Street for generations.

Our work is focused on carefully preserving the original fabric wherever possible, carrying out sympathetic stone replacement, restoring the ironwork, then the re decoration as they once were. There’s been a lot of speculation as to what the animals are, but they are infact bears.

It’s a privilege to play a small part in protecting one of Worcester’s finest historic landmarks. The Grade I listed almshouses, gates and piers date from the late 17th and early 18th centuries and remain one of England’s most significant almshouse complexes.

We look forward to sharing the restoration journey as the project progresses.

A lovely project recently completed at this beautiful converted chapel in Birtsmorton.

We were commissioned to carefully clean and fully repoint the stone spire following water ingress issues that were allowing moisture into the structure. As part of the works, we also restored the original iron weather vane, helping to preserve an important feature of the building while protecting it for years to come.

A great job by the team, with Alfie leading the masonry works on site.

A lovely project complete in Pitville Cheltenham.

Starting with of Forest of Dean block stone, we cut, carved and finished each step by hand in our workshop before installing them on site. The entrance was then completed with the refurbished railings, restored by a local blacksmith.
