Most gutter leaks are caused by thermal expansion.

For example a black plastic 10 meter length heated from 10°C in the am to 30°C can typically expand by 10mm.
Ideally it should shrink back in the cooler evening.

Heavy debris in the gutter can not only cause blockages but can also prevent the gutter seating back to its original position, just like this one.

The debris can also contaminate & prematurely wear the seal adding to potential leakage.

Luckily not a huge job to remove the length & reseat it but regular maintenance could have prevented it completely.

Leaking gutter? 💧💧💧

Couple of points on this one.
Firstly a gutter should have a drop (approx 20mm for every 5 meters) otherwise water & debris will pool & buckle the sections as is the case here.

Also, where sections of guttering meet @ each union there should always be a gap to allow for expansion & contraction.

As can be seen here the two sections have forced a buckle in the union causing a 💧💧💧

Think the builder was in a hurry 🤔
