Duty Manager role available.
Kennet Court is a Very Sheltered Housing development of 24 self-contained bungalows and 20 self-contained apartments plus communal areas, which includes a small restaurant. The on-site Management and staffing teams oversee and manage the support services to enable the Owners to retain their independence and to continue to live at Court for the whole of their retirement. Kennet Court is currently looking to recruit an experienced Duty Manager / Supervisor with previous Managerial experience.
As Duty Manager, you are a member of a team of five, who are responsible for all aspects of the day-to-day work while on duty, in particular, dealing with Owner enquiries, supervision of the team of Housekeeping Assistants, who provide domestic help to Owners and be the initial contact with visitors and contractors to the Court. You will be required to facilitate and oversee Owner social events, lunchtime meals, afternoon teas etc. You will need to be proactive and have experience in dealing with emergency situations and be able to take control in these situations, as often you will be lone working.
You will have an understanding of the needs of older people and promote independence within a friendly and welcoming environment. You will ideally need to be IT proficient in Window applications, and provide excellent customer service to Owners and customers, in line with Company standards. Previous supervisory / managerial work preferred.
Hours of work will be a minimum of 21 hours per week on a rolling 5 week rota.
Shifts are 0745 - 1500 / 1445 - 2200 plus 2200 - 0800 sleep-in. You will be paid £14.07 per hour plus holiday pay of 12.07% on your hourly rate. Sleeping in duties are required once or twice a week, a payment of £40.00 is made for this. Sickness and holiday cover will also be required.
