We are taking on a new project that I am going to trial in my own home first but wanted to get thoughts on the support we would get if we were to make it a company project.
Home made cleaning products!
We all know that products we use in our day to day lives aren't the best for our health, using spray cleaners, bleach, perfumed fragrances etc all have toxic properties, I am shocked to read that even some of the plant based or eco friendly products are still appearing in research I am reading up on. So I am going to be trying white wine vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, castile soap, corn starch, coconut oil, lemons, and essential oils. I am still researching the oils and also rubbing alcohol to replace the vinegar that can't be used on some surfaces. Making these products will also mean less plastic usage! Something I am quite passionate about. I will be buying spray bottles that will be reused, instead of buying new products each time something runs out and the plastic containers thrown into the recycling. Not all are recycleable and it seems that they don't all make it to the recycling facilities anyway.
So what I want to know is;
Have you tried using these natural products yourselves, if so did you find them to work as well as leading brands?
Can you suggest any other natural products known for their cleaning powers?
Would you support businesses in using these products to help the environment and also your health if it meant a slight increase in the hourly rate?
Please comment even if you don't use us for your cleaning services as I want to get a broad opinion on this. I am also trying home made laundry detergent and dishwasher detergent if you are interested in what I will be using and the results I have.
Thank you for your time!
