This estate agents was the unfortunate victim of damage caused by an arson attack on the property next door!

The pictures do not show the true soot damage suffered! Inbetween strip out and refit the guys from were on hand to decontaminate all surfaces that were unable to be removed.

All accessories, consumer units, ceilings, flooring and lighting were replaced in house and handed back to the customer in a timely fashion.

This relocation and upgrade in a local production factory was well overdue!

Redundant cabling everywhere
Oversized protection devices
Incorrect conductor sizes
Ingress protection not met
Poor lighting
Old oversized equipment taking up too much room

This had it all!

Completed during the customers annual shutdown so disruption was kept to a minimum.

A callout from an elderly couple for loss of power but all RCDs and MCB in the on position……. 🤔

From arriving to back in the van in around 15minutes! 💪🏻

The cause…. A loose connection on the outgoing live terminal of this Sub-main.
Fortunately I had a spare Fusebox main switch on the van!

Ever stood in the pi***ng down rain (boy do I mean that!) and thought “nah I’m done mate!”?

I am 1000% sure every one of the lads on install day thought that! It rained every direction non stop! The Stroopwafel smile was fabricated only to annoy my wife! 🤦🏻‍♂️

This job was from the tail end of last year and one that took some forward planning due to the owner being disabled. The customer needed to have clear paths to move around the property using their walking aid at all times so we needed to take great care while planning cable routes etc.

Due to several consumer units being placed very high on the walls the customer could not safely reach them, this along with no RCD protection on any circuit and some sub-mains installed in VIR, we reached the decision to relocated said units to a combined double stack unit in a utility cupboard on the top floor including a new 100a supply.

In total we installed 4 replacement consumer unit supplies via trenches around the exterior of the property carefully pulled and backfilled by .
Upon completion of their works the driveway looked like it hadn’t been touched! Top workmanship from them 💪🏻

The owner has future plans for this property including an Annex, Garage renovation, Electric gates and driveway lamp posts so provisions have been made to allow for future installs.
