⚠️ Equine Influenza Reminder ⚠️

British Eventing is urging members to remain vigilant following an increase in Equine Influenza cases across the UK.

We are encouraging all competitors, organisers and officials to:

✔️ Check vaccinations are up to date
✔️ Monitor horse temperatures before events
✔️ Avoid travelling horses showing signs of illness
✔️ Continue practising good biosecurity measures

The health and welfare of horses remains our absolute priority.

There will be increased vaccination checks at all BE Events and any horse that does not have the correct vaccinations will be required to leave site.

🐎IMPORTANT - EQUINE INFLUENZA🐎

Cases of Equine Influenza are on the rise across the UK. Some shows hosting SEIB Search for a Star and Racehorse to Riding Horse qualifiers may require six-monthly vaccinations. If you are unsure please contact the show directly.

Please remember to always have your horse's passport present at a show in case the organiser needs to check it.

*UPDATE* from Rutland Show - “All equines must be fully vaccinated on an annual basis as per our schedule, random passport checks will be made.”
