Difficult access today so cherry picker required to fit cap and birdguard to these two pots in Wigan. Bird nesting season is here so make sure all open chimney pots have a suitable birdguard or ventilated cap if you want to avoid wildlife from nesting in your chimney.

It’s been a cold winter and your fireplaces have taken some stick. Book in for your end of season sweep to ensure your flues are not at risk of catching fire as well as prolonging the life of your flue liner and ensuring your stove is working to its maximum efficiency. All types of flues swept and woodburning/multi fuel stoves serviced. Chimney cowls and caps supplied and fitted. A member of the NACS and a HETAS approved sweep.

Unexpected birds nest removed today. Only took me 4 hours to shift. Followed up by a full CCTV survey to ensure all nesting material had been removed and flue way was clear and safe for use. Arranged fitting of chimney cowl to prevent further nesting.Happy customer can now use their fire again.

Chimney sweeping definitely has its good days. 6 sweeps and CCTV surveys at this rather large property on the Wirral. Beautiful scenery on top of the scaffolding. Chimney pot re-fitted, flaunched and stack repaired in Chorley to finish off the weekend.
