What a crazyyyy day today is going to be 🫣😂💪
Not a post I would normally write, but feel it needs addressing as I’m sick to death of eye rolling 🙄 😂
Just to clear up, so my staff don’t keep getting asked, or people indirectly messaging me asking why we’re giving up SOME CLEANS….
The number 1 reason is STAFF, My staff are my life line, they are what make this business run and be what it is, I’m just here to pay for things, deal with stuff etc. I have, now, an incredible work force, who go above and beyond for me, for my customers and I want them to love the workplace, they spend a lot of hours here so it needs to be a place of fun, peace, drama free and where they can escape any problems they may have NOT add to them, I want them to enjoy summer, I want them to be able to spend time with family/loved ones, I don’t want them to be working all hours to get cleans done, to get orders done and do it all again the next day!
The other side of staffing, not many businesses will talk about it, is the amount of people that just lack good old fashioned working skills is alarming, and common sense, the sense, I’ve had people come of all ages, not know how to clean, which is fine, but lack the ability to take constructive feedback just sets alarm bells ringing for me and lack the emotional intelligence to not take things personally no matter how it’s addressed.
Some people don’t have the skills, or want to clean properly, they would rather cut corners and trust me I am not here for that, it’s my name above that door. It’s as simple as that.
Number 2- My mental health and my physically health are priority, I set this business up to give me more freedom, to also set my mum up for retirement, she’s worked so hard ever since I can remember, doing 70+ hours a week to keep our family going, and from a young age I was working all summer long all holidays and have ever since, so I want to enjoy the sun.
My belief is it’s not about how many cleans we have on our books, it’s about providing a work place where people want to stay and people want to come and work, it’s about me having more free time, I don’t want to fall into the trap of being self employed and working all hours, work smarter not harder, I can create a buisness that doesn’t need me and can run in the background that’s my goal.
Lastly, we are doing absolutely bloody fantastic, profit/revenue side of things, we’ve actually smashed all previous records these last 2 months, so we’ve got the freedom to lose some cleans, and still make good money, why wouldn’t I?
We are absolutely NOT closing down, nothing negative is happening here, it’s actually REALLY f**king positive what is happening, we’re just adapting how we work.
Anyways what a boring, long post that was 😂😂
We are still taking on new laundry clients 😁😘
